After undergoing a thorough recovery process, Pant, a player for the Delhi Capitals, is prepared to assume the dual position beginning on March 22.

Prasidh Krishna, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals, and Mohammed Shami, the senior bowler for the Gujarat Titans who hasn’t played since the World Cup final last year, will not be participating in the IPL.

“After undergoing an extensive 14-month rehab and recovery process, following a life-threatening road mishap on December 30th, 2022, near Roorkee, Uttarakhand, Rishabh Pant has now been declared fit as a wicket-keeper batter for the upcoming IPL 2024,” according to a statement released by the BCCI.

Pant attended the Capitals table at the IPL auction the previous year, and ever since the regrettable episode, he has been working out at the NCA.

In addition to his shattered wrist and ankle, Pant’s accident left him with a significant right knee injury that needed ligament repair surgery. He has, however, recovered well.

Shami is not anticipated to return until September of this year as she is recuperating from ankle surgery.

“On February 26, 2024, the quick bowler had successful surgery to address a heel issue on his right foot. He is not permitted to play in the forthcoming IPL 2024 and is being watched after by the BCCI medical staff, according to a statement released by the BCCI.

Additionally, Krishna is being observed by the medical staff of BCCI.

“On February 23, 2024, the fast bowler had surgery to repair his left proximal quadriceps tendon. The BCCI Medical Team is now keeping an eye on him, and he will shortly return to the NCA for rehabilitation. The BCCI said that “he will not be able to participate in the upcoming IPL 2024.”
